Prepare a clear, safe description
When a bounded reporting channel is authorized, the STEP UP NAIJA Civic Assistant will explain its scope and privacy terms before you participate. Until then, use this checklist to understand what a useful report needs.
Describe what you observed in plain language. Keep assumptions about cause or blame separate.
Know your state and local government area. Avoid a home address or precise private coordinates.
Distinguish a continuing concern from an urgent danger. This service cannot respond to emergencies.
What should I leave out?
Do not submit anything here. The existing bounded pilot notice excludes attachments, precise addresses, identifiers, financial or health information, children’s information and urgent safety matters. Do not include other people’s private details. Any future reporting channel must state its own approved scope before collection.
